BY WRITING POLICIES OF 'WELL REMEMBERING': INTELLECTUAL BIOGRAPHIES OF BLACK WOMEN

Abstract

Understanding that we live in a white cisheteropatriarchal society, historically, we have observed the struggles of black women being neglected and made invisible. It is in this sense that we seek, in the present work, to argue about the importance of highlighting, remembering, and studying the intellectual biographies of Black women who have actively participated in feminist, anti-racist, and other struggles that have greatly contributed to paradigmatic changes in our society, providing foundations for current activism. Thus, it is through "well remembering" that we create conditions to continue in the struggles, fighting political battles against oppressions and seeking better conditions of existence for the Black population. We also present the category of fabulation as a resource to work with possibilities and potentialities from perspectives that go beyond the characteristic hegemonic knowledge-power, bringing the opportunity for diverse creations, positions, and repositions through imagination, perception, and affectivity.
