This paper aims to report the experience lived with the NASF-AB team in the city of Sobral, Ceará, during the pandemic period, with the team’s Psychology professional as the preceptor. To this end, field diaries were used to record and capture reflections and ideas about the experiences in the territories served by the Center, in addition to fortnightly supervision. The discussion is based on five main topics, which address the role of Psychology in NASF-AB, the duality between interdisciplinarity and an outpatient logic, the essential nature of matrix support, and the benefits brought by the implementation of the NASF-AB Circles. It is concluded that Psychology emerges as a necessary field of knowledge for Primary Care and for integrating this area with the phenomena that permeate the psychologist’s work, reiterating that this professional practice is not restricted exclusively to mental health.
